Food Assistance for Assets to strengthen resilience in IPC Phase 5 locations and support to Logistics Cluster (21-RR-WFP-006)

Project overview

With this CERF-funded project, WFP, in coordination with FAO, supported 95,349 vulnerable people through its Food Assistance for Assets (FFA) programme, an initiative that addresses food needs while simultaneously promoting the development or rehabilitation of assets that will improve long-term food security and resilience. Specifically, WFP provided in-kind food assistance and cash support to people who also received agricultural support from FAO, thus ensuring that they are sufficiently food secure to engage in agricultural practices aimed at building up resilience over time. Additionally, WFP provided logistics support in the form of air transport to 11 humanitarian organizations. In total, the project provided direct assistance to 95,349 people in priority locations, including 14,932 women and 36,556 girls.
