“Emergency Livelihood Support for drought-affected rural populations in Somalia” (21-RR-FAO-008)

Project overview

With this $3 million CERF project, FAO supports 2,500 farming households in Dollow and Kismayo, approximately 15,000 people, with drought-tolerant crop seeds, tools, training as well as cash transfers for 3 months. In addition, FAO will support 3,700 pastoral households, or 22,200 people, in Eyl and Laasquoray with livestock feed and cash for 3 months. In total 37,200 people benefit from the activities, including 6,200 women and 12,400 girls.
