The main objective of this project is to reduce preventable mortality and morbidity among pregnant women and lactating women and newborns through equitable access to safely managed water, sanitation and hygiene services in health facilities. UNICEF will use CERF funds to supply hospitals and installf basic water, sanitation and hygiene services in hospitals in Kangnam, Kosong and Junghwa. 18,700 will benefit from this project, which will be implemented within 9 months.
