Projet d’appui à la préservation des moyens de subsistance des ménages ruraux vulnérables en situation d’urgence (20-UF-FAO-014)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to contribute to the preservation of the livelihoods of pastoralists and agro-pastoralists in the affected areas. This FAO project provides 150 kg feed support for livestock to 10,500 pastoral and agro-pastoral households; support for rain-fed seeds, i.e. 10 kg of millet and 5 kg of cowpea to agro-pastoral 10,000 HHs; and 200 linear kilometers of firewall in areas with abundant pasture to limit the damage of any possible bush fire through cash-for-work for 44 vulnerable HHs. The project provides life-saving assistance to 146,300 people, of which 6,145 people with disabilities, including 31,601 men, 34,234 women, 38,623 boys and 41,842 girls.
