Soutien à l’éducation, à la protection et à la nutrition des filles et des garçons affectés par la crise (20-UF-CEF-059)

Project overview

The main objective of this UNICEF project is to respond to the protection, education and nutrition needs of the children in an integrated manner in Port-au-Prince city in the areas of Bas Delmas (Camp la Piste), Canaan (Corail Cecelesse) et Taba Issa (Petionville). With this CERF grant, UNICEF will mainly provide 2,600 nutrition food kits, nutrition material, medicines, 200 PPE; 250 school furniture kits along with cash for school to 350 households, cash for school learning kits to 2,000 students, minor rehabilitation of 5 schools, short cycle vocational training to 100 youths and awareness; child protection activities (psychosocial support, social mobilization against GBV and Cash transfer to 100 affected households). The project covers Education, Nutrition and Child protection sectors and will last 12 months. It will benefit 20,300 persons in Child protection (2,050 women, 8,000 girls and 220 people with disabilities), 7,040 people in Education sector (1,500 women, 3,800 girls and 100 people with disabilities) and 23,000 people in Nutrition (including 11,960 girls).
