Soutien à l’éducation, à la protection et à la santé des filles et des garçons affectés par la crise dans le Nord-Ouest et la Grand’Anse (20-UF-CEF-021)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to strengthen life-saving education, protection and health services to people affected in the departments of North West and Grand’Anse. This UNICEF project provides, among other things, 9,500 school kits and textbooks to 8,000 students for continuous learning as well as basic water, hygiene and sanitation services to 10 schools through the rehabilitation of WASH infrastructure and hygiene promotion activities; strengthens the child protective environment in 8 target municipalities in the North West departments, including psychosocial support activities to 10,000 vulnerable children in collaboration with the education sector as well as financial management training and cash transfers to 2,500 people; and strengthening of six family health teams ensuring continuity of care for women and children, including provision of 100 kits of work materials, and improvement of the care services in eight health institutions. 11,823 people will be targeted with lifesaving education assistance, 15,000 people with child protection services, and 123,065 people with health assistance.
