Project overview

The main aim of this $700,000 UNFPA project is to reinforce access for case management of sexual and gender-based violence for displaced and returning women and girls. UNFPA will provide post-rape kits for 40 health facilities and sexual and reproductive health supplies for 10 hospitals; train 70 health facility staff in clinical management of rape and emergency obstetric care; organize psychosocial, recreative and social activities for 14,539 women and girls in safe spaces in IDP camps; train 70 focal points in womens’ organizations and NGOs; provide 7,000 dignity kits and $180,000 in cash assistance for 1,000 female heads of household to cover basic needs. 10,000 women and girls will receive access to SRH services. In total, UNFPA will assist 35,679 people of whom 21,572 will be women and 11,617 girls. Among those assistes will be an estimated 357 persons with disabilities.
