WASH and Nutrition Response to Tropical Cyclone Harold in Vanuatu (20-RR-CEF-033)

Project overview

The main objective of this project was to reduce the risk of waterborne and water related diseases and micronutrient deficiency and severe acute malnutrition of children under five in targeted communities. With CERF funds, UNICEF 1) provides rehabilitated water supply systems, 2) constructs latrines, 3) distributes essential nutrition supplies and 4) treats children with severe acute malnutrition among other activities. 71,112 people (including 19,817 women, 13,561 children and 747 people with disabilities) benefitted from the water, sanitation and hygiene and nutrition component.
