The main objective of this project is to restore safe housing conditions to reduce both loss of life and life-threatening risks to the most vulnerable and economically disadvantaged households. This $1m million UNDP project is providing cash grants for home repairs, procuring and delivering gender-responsive household items, supporting the technical design of disaster-resilient repair and conducting rapid trainings for households, local masons and construction workers on resilient repair techniques, among other activities. The project provides assistance to 26,582 people, including 9,914 women, 9,757 men, 3,428 boys, 3,438 girls, and 1,052 people with disabilities.
