Addressing special needs for sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence for women, girls, the elderly and people with disabilities in flood affected areas (20-RR-FPA-041)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving assistance to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people, including girls, the elderly, and people with disabilities , by meeting their special needs, including for sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender-based violence (GBV) in eight flood-affected provinces and Da Nang city of Vietnam. This UNFPA project provides SRH services especially in the area of maternal health, distributes dignity kits, disseminates information on SRH and GBV via text message and provides tele- and mobile care services for the elderly. The project provides life-saving assistance to 50,800 people, including 43,000 women, 800 men, 7,000 girls, and including 1,500 people with disabilities.
