The main objective of this CEF project is to provide critical life-saving child protection and WASH services to children, families and communities affected by floods in Uganda. With this CERF grant, UNICEF will provide 240 boxes of water purifying Aquatab, 1,500 cartons of laundry soaps, 1,400 hand washing facilities, 1,400 jerry cans, 50 mobile toilets and will rehabilitate 15 boreholes. The WASH component will benefit 29,100 people (including 9,000 girls, 6,030 women and 4,364 persons with disabilities) and the protection component 9,600 persons (including 2,400 girls, 3,200 women and 192 persons with disabilities). The project will last six months.
