South Sudan Food Insecurity (20-RR-WFP-015)
|Recipient UN Agency||WFP|
|Emergency type||Post-conflict Needs|
|Beneficiary type||Host communities|
WFP, under this CERF request, prioritizes food and nutrition assistance to the most food insecure locations with a prepositioning shortfall. Thus, it targets the population in the highly food-insecure locations of Ayod, Duk, Ulang, Pibor, Maban and Kapoeta East. During the dry season, WFP transports food and nutrition commodities to these areas which will be distributed to 90,000 people during the project period in anticipation of worsened food security in these locations due to flooding and other factors.
