Emergency flood-response through provision of Emergency Shelter in Gedo region (20-RR-IOM-015)

The main objective of the project is to provide emergency shelter in Doolow town to 12,000 internally displaced people (IDPs) who have been affected by flooding. IOM will use CERF funds to provide the displaced families with vouchers worth $100 to purchase construction materials and $10 to cover transportation cost. In addition, 300 persons will receive construction training. Among the 12,000 targeted IDPs, 2,212 are women and 3,729 are girls. IOM estimates that 1,800 of the targeted will be persons with disabilities.
