Emergency food security assistance for vulnerable Palestine refugees in Gaza and West Bank (20-RR-RWA-003)
|Recipient UN Agency||UNRWA|
|Emergency type||Disruption of basic services|
The main objective of this project is to cover one quarter of food security needs in Gaza and the West Bank, while UNRWA continues to mobilize resources against its $119 million food security project in the Humanitarian Response Plan for which it faces a funding shortfall. In Gaza, basic food commodities are distributed to targeted refugees through UNRWA distribution centres. In the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, emergency cash-assistance is provided through e-cards to targeted abject poor refugee households outside and inside 19 Palestine refugee camps. This project targets 1,024,603 of the most vulnerable Palestine refugees in Gaza and the West Bank, including roughly equal parts men, women, boys and girls, and 40,000 people with disabilities.
