The main objective of this project is to ensure that the most vulnerable affected people have access to emergency shelter solutions, and safer and more dignified living conditions in evacuation centres. Among other activities, the $1,000,000 IOM project distributes 2,060 shelter repair kits to support the recovery of immediate shelter needs, provides community-based technical assistance on safer shelter construction and disburses multi-purpose cash to selected beneficiary households. The project provides life-saving assistance to 10,300 people, including 2,781 men, 2,781 women and 4,738 children.
