Supporting the Government of Pakistan to improve the health status of the flood affected population in Sindh through improving access to health care (20-RR-WHO-033)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to improve access of the flood affected population to health care especially of mothers, children and the elderly affected by the floods. This WHO project conducts 288 mobile health clinics, distributes 200 inter-agency emergency health kits that include medicines and medical supplies, and supports 24 health facilities as sentinel surveillance sites. The project provides life-saving assistance to 98,000 people, including 28,839 women, 18,561 men, over 50,000 children, and includes 2,068 people with disabilities.
