Food assistance and early recovery support for the most vulnerable populations affected by hurricanes Eta and Iota (20-RR-WFP-053)

Project overview

The main objective of this WFP project is to improve food security for people affected by Hurricanes Eta and Iota in Nicaragua. With CERF funding, WFP provides food assistance to 21,271 people and, via the Nicaraguan Institute of Agricultural Technology, agricultural inputs (seeds, tools, and so on) 5,482 families (27,410 people). Among the people targeted for assistance are 1,187 people with disabilities for food assistance and 1,530 for agricultural inputs.
