The main objective of this project is to provide emergency food assistance to meet the food and nutritional needs of 9,988 internally displaced people in the Tahoua and Tillabéry regions. This WFP project provides monthly food distributions for four months followed by cash transfers for three months to the same number of people. In addition, 1,000 children aged 6-23 months will receive blanket supplementary feeding for malnutrition prevention, while 600 children aged 6-23 months are targeted at health centre level for malnutrition treatment. The project provides life-saving assistance to a total of 11,588 people, including 174 people with disabilities.
