Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving food security and nutrition assistance to internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in Gao, Mopti and Segou regions. This WFP project provides in-kind and cash assistance to IDPs to cover their basic food needs for 90 days; provides in-kind and cash assistance to host community members to cover their basic food needs for 30 days; distributes supplementary nutritious foods to prevent moderate acute malnutrition in children aged 6-23 months and pregnant and lactating women; and provides Plump'Sup for the treatment of moderate acute malnutrition in children aged 6-23 months and pregnant and lactating women. The project provides life-saving food security assistance to 63,416 people, including 20,800 women and 22,830 children, and life-saving nutrition assistance to 39,355 people, including 13,347 women and 25,988 children.
