Assistance d’urgence pour la restauration des moyens de subsistance des ménages vulnérables affectés par la sècheresse (20-RR-FAO-027)

Project overview

The main objective of this FAO project is to improve food security and strengthen the livelihoods of vulnerable households affected by the drought and the impact of the COVID-19 in 5 districts of MAdagascar's Grand Sud region. With this CERF grant, FAO will provides 160 tons of seeds (cereals and pulses), 15,000 sachets of vegetables seeds, 22,500 farming tools, 500 drip irrigation kits and 500 sprayers. These activities benefit 50,000 people (including 9,500 girls, 17,500 women and 365 persons living with disabilities).
