Health emergency response to Hurricanes Eta and Iota in Honduras (20-RR-WHO-039)

The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving health assistance to vulnerable communities affected by the hurricanes. This WHO project deploys health personnel, facilitates the rapid repair of 10 health facilities; procures essential medicines, health supplies, inter-agency reproductive health kits, and personal protective equipment; re-establishes epidemiological surveillance; and raises awareness about hygiene promotion and disease prevention. The project provides life-saving assistance to 100,000 people, including 54,120 women, 33,800 men, 12,000 children, and 980 people with disabilities.
