The main objective of this project was to provide assistance to meet the immediate and life-saving shelter needs of the most vulnerable people affected by Tropical Cyclone Harold. This IOM project provided shelter assistance to 529 households in the Western and Central Divisions and support to all targeted households to repair their primary shelter through locally appropriate self-recovery approaches and shelter materials. In addition, this project provided training on how to address protection and gender-based violence when providing shelter assistance to six shelter practitioners. In total, 2,539 people, of whom 380 people with disabilities, will be targeted with lifesaving shelter assistance, including 798 men, 776 women, 498 boys and 476 girls.
