Health Sector response to the Ethiopia cholera and flood crisis (20-RR-WHO-028)

The main objective of this project is to keep morbidity and mortality levels among communities affected by cholera below emergency thresholds. This WHO project helps to mobilize 85 rapid response teams, equip and support 50 mobile health and nutrition teams and 25 public health facilities with essential medicines, operate 10 ambulances, establish 10 cholera treatment centers, distribute 110 cholera kits, and treat approximately 10,000 cases of cholera, among other activities. The project provides life-saving assistance to 410,000 people, including 102,500 women and 101,500 girls, and 69,700 people with disabilities.
