Anticipatory Action Framework pilot project to reduce flood impact on women and girls in areas of SRHR, GBV and Adolescent Youth (20-RR-FPA-027)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving health and protection assistance against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) to flood-prone families in Rangpur (Gaibandha, Kurigram) and Mymensingh (Jamalpur). This UNFPA project distributes dignity kits to mitigate the risks of gender-based violence during the floods and procures menstrual hygiene management kits for adolescent girls. The SGBV component of the project provides life-saving assistance to 10,455 people, including 5,955 women and 4,500 girls. The health component of the project provides life-saving assistance to 600 women.
