Emergency Health Response to people affected by drought in Cunene and Huila provinces (20-RR-WHO-008)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving interventions for children of under five years of age with complicated severe acute malnutrition and acute watery diarrhea and reinstate the treatment for people living with HIV whose treatment has been interrupted due to the drought. This WHO project provides nutritional and feeding kits as well as medical kits; refresher training to community health workers; and restoration of access to ARV treatment for people with AIDS, to a total of 12,968 people, including 1,278 women, 1,212 men, 5,376 girls and 5,102 boys.
