NUTRITION RAPID RESPONSE PROJECT (20-RR-WFP-003)

Project overview

The main objective of WFP’s project is to attain sufficient nutrient requirements for Namibian children under 5 and pregnant and lactating women in 8 regions in Namibia with severe levels of food insecurity. WFP will provide 5,650 children and 670 pregnant and lactating women suffering from moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) with 104.6 metric tons of ready-to-use supplementary food (RUSF). In addition, 250 nurses and community health workers will be trained to manage moderate and acute malnutrition. The project duration is 6 months.
