CERF-funded Project

Emergency livelihood support to drought-affected communities in Namibia (20-RR-FAO-002)

Project overview

The objective of this FAO agriculture project is to provide 1,000 drought-affected farmers in 3 priority regions in Namibia with supplementary livestock feed through installation of hydroponic fodder production systems. In addition, farmers will receive medicines against disease and parasites to treat 10,000 animals suffering from weakened immune systems as a result of the drought. FAO through its partners will deliver basic training on administering the medicines to the 1,000 farmers.
