Project overview

The main objective of this WFP project is to ensure that food-insecure and vulnerable households in urban and peri-urban areas meet their basic food and nutrition requirements. This project tops up the current $9 unconditional cash transfer benefiting 100,000 beneficiaries with additional $4 per beneficiary per month for 14 months. WFP will also provide unconditional cash transfer to 51,500 new beneficiaries at $13 per beneficiary per month, also for 14 months. The project will be implemented over sixteen months and will benefit 151,500 people, including 39,483 girls, 39,168 women and 22,724 people with disabilities.
