Protection et assistance aux personnes sinistrées par les inondations au Niger (20-RR-HCR-025)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving protection assistance to vulnerable flood-affected communities. This UNHCR project raises awareness about protection issues (including gender-based violence and child protection), establishes 30 community-based protection committees, helps 1,500 people renew essential documents (e.g. ID cards) damaged or lost during the floods, provides cash assistance to 2,000 persons with specific needs and vulnerabilities, and distributes child protection kits to 4,100 children. The project provides life-saving assistance to 57,690 people, including 13,269 women, 10,961 men, 33,460 children, and 2,308 people with disabilities.
