The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving health, water, sanitation and hygiene assistance to vulnerable flood-affected communities. This UNICEF project provides fresh water to flood-affected households, prevents severe acute malnutrition among women and children, builds latrines, and provides treatment for water- and vector-borne diseases including cholera. The project also provides emergency health kits and technical support to 50 health centres, and vaccinates children against measles. The project provides life-saving assistance to 181,700 people, including 43,600 women, 38,100 men, 100,000 children, and 7,600 people with disabilities.
